She's just a little bit country...

...and he's just a little bit rock and roll. Just kidding, but really I am just so excited I could hardly contain myself. I really wanted to post this yesterday, but wanted to wait because....in exactly ONE year from today, Alex and I will be getting married at The Condor's Nest Ranch (check it out here) in Pala, Ca.

This place is just to die for. It is a ranch house with a big red barn, a windmill, awesome old trees, an old trailer, and the cutest little greenhouse made entirely from old windows. It is exactly what we wanted...something  rustic, airy, and charming. The best part about this place...the owners. They are so incredibly warm and kind, it just makes this place that much more amazing.

The cute greenhouse
I think the greenhouse will end up being my favorite spot. I can't wait to see it in person!! Thanks Steph and Nancy for checking out all the places for us. We love you! Now that the task of setting a date and finding a location is all out of the way, I get to do all the fun stuff...making decorations!!

Until next time,
Love Her

She loves Chocolate and Mustaches too.

Everyone who knows me knows this...
 1. I love chocolate!!
 2. I love mustaches!! Actually any facial hair for that matter. (On MEN, of course!)

A few weeks ago we combined my two loves into this....
These professional taste testers were very satisfied!
CHOCOLATE MUSTACHE Lollipops!!! I know I am not the first person to make these, but I was pretty dang proud of myself. We made a set of white chocolate ones and a set of milk chocolate. The milk chocolate came out and all the other ones cracked in the middle when I tried to pull them out of the mold. If anyone knows any good chocolate molding tips, please let me know. :)

It was really fun making these and they tasted so yummy. The taste testers really enjoyed playing with them and eating them too! I wish I would have taken a picture after this because they had chocolate all over their faces!!

He is so crafty.

The last few weeks I have been dying to get wedding projects started. Last weekend we finally bought some fun crafts to make decorations. I am pretty sure Alex wanted to fight me because we were in Whim So Doodle , the most adorable craft store in St Pete, for well over an hour. I felt slightly guilty, but only slightly. :)

Well, our projects came out AMAZING and I owe it all to Alex. He spent his Sunday afternoon making this for me, well for us...
Our sweets table banner.
We also bought some tags, stamps, and embossing powder to play around with. They turned out like this...
Name tags for seating!
Thanks to HIM, I had a super fun Sunday.

She has been a busy bee

I have been so busy I haven't had time to share my amazing finds from my antique store outing a couple weeks back. For the wedding I wanted to incorporate our love for vintage decor, so my mom and I set out on a mission and came back with some pretty great loot.

I want to use this old Dr. Pepper crate to hold place cards for tables. We are doing a gray, yellow, and white theme, so we thought it would be a cute idea to use lemons as the place card holders. We have found a few more, I think two 7UP ones, but they haven't arrived yet. :(

Awesome story about these (the top two)...My mom and I walk into this Shabby Chic Cottage antique store and I immediately spot these on the top of this fabulous blue cabinet. I asked the owner how much she would sell them for and she said they were not for sale. I was bumming big time. Well, my mom ended buying the cutest farm table and benches from the store and the owner told me I could just take the suitcase and train case for FREE. Yep, FREE!! I was so excited. I don't know exactly what I will use them for in the wedding, but I am stoked to have nabbed these up anyways to use as decoration around the house. The one on the very bottom was a present from my amazing step-mom for Christmas.

These old milk jars were the icing on the cake for our antique store outing. We walk into my favorite place ever, go all the way to the back, and low and behold a wall filled with these jars was right before my very eyes. I turn around to look at my mom and the both of us started freaking out. These were exactly what I wanted to use for vases on tables! Since we have some time before we get married, I am just collecting these as we find them.

Her first post...

So, today is the day I start blogging. Who would have ever thought??? Well, I for one am extremely excited to take on the blogging world. So, here I am, putting everything out there for the world to enjoy.

To get acquainted let me share with you a little bit about "Her and Him"... Well, she likes many things...coffee, anything vintage, shoes, flowers...the list could REALLY go on, but her most favorite thing in the whole wide world is HIM. He likes lots of things too... like skateboarding, surfing, traveling, music, and her ...his most favorite of all (*wink* ).They have been dating for 5 years and live on the  waters of the Gulf of Mexico in sunny (blah) St. Petersburg, Florida. They met at work and the rest is well....HISTORY. They have a pup named Gertie, the apple of their eyes. He works full time and she goes to school and takes care of her baby sisters (they are really 8). One day HE asked HER to marry him. She said yes. Now, they are engaged and planning for a wedding (which I am sure will be the subject of many posts). That's them in a nutshell.

Well until next time...
Love, Her
